Welcome to ArtCrafters in historic downtown Dayton, Tennessee, home of the Scope's Trial, Strawberry Festival, and Bryan College.
ArtCrafters is owned and operated by the family of Dennis and Dianne Knappen, daughter, Dee Price, son, Dan Knappen, and their families with everyone adding their special talents and precious time. We all enjoy keeping connected with the community and promoting downtown shopping. Do-drop-in, browse, shop or just have a cup of coffee and get to know the store and its family at ArtCrafters.
We have lots to offer the community of Dayton, TN and surrounding area. Though our main emphasis is custom picture framing, we have many local artisans who display and sell their talents in our little store. We also have a a couple of local artists who make and create their art in their studio here inside ArtCrafters.
There are four business units to ArtCrafters:
- Custom Picture Framing
- Hand-crafted Art and Gifts
- Art Gallery
Since becoming the new owners of ArtCrafters in 2009, we have learned alot about the value and importance in custom framing, not just for the sake of framing, but for the preservation of precious memories.
There is a wide selection of art on display for purchase in a variety of media in the arts from paintings and photography to hand-turned pottery and wood products all finished and designed with exquisite taste.
ArtCrafters offers various classes in the arts and crafts taught by our local artisans or teachers in the arts from the area.
We have a limited supply of art and craft supplies along with scrapbooking supplies to keep your creative flow going. Stop in and see what we have to offer. If you do not see what you are looking for, we most likely can order it and have it delivered to the store.
The Art Cafe
is open. We are serving regular and flavored coffees, teas, blended ice coffees, smoothies, and sodas. Sometimes we have treats available to go along with your coffee and visit.
Come enjoy a cup of coffee while doing the daily crossword puzzle or just browsing through the store to see the arts and crafts.
